Tips for Summer Vacation at Walt Disney World

More people seem to be planning summer vacations to Walt Disney World this year, including many who have never visited during the summer months.

Here's what you need to know and what to watch for:

  • It's not so much the heat (which can be intense), but it's the rain. You would do well to make plans and reservations accordingly. Be careful about how much outdoor activity you plan between the hours of approximately 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

  • It's also hurricane season at this time of year and they're predicting a higher-than-average number of named storms this year. So it's more important than ever to keep that in mind.

How to Share Your Pride at Walt Disney World this Month

For 2022, all four Walt Disney World parks have Pride-themed backdrops to light up your social feeds. Each park photo wall is unique, themed to its surroundings and honors the diversity and pride within the LGBTQIA+ community.

Disney PhotoPass is also taking part with props like a rainbow umbrella. Plus there are new virtual backdrops at the PhotoPass Studio at Disney Springs and a number of "magic shots" featuring secret additions that you don't see while taking the photo, but that will appear in the final product.

Also at Disney Springs, there are new décor and photo opportunities created specially to celebrate Pride Month, June 2022.

Locations include T-REX Cafe, Kendra Scott, Kate Spade New York, Coca Cola Store and more. Learn more here about the latest Pride Month offerings at Disney Springs.
