More Brand-New and Returning Disney World Holiday Favorites

Disney Jollywood Nights kicks off at Disney’s Hollywood Studios November 11 and takes place on 10 nights ending December 20.

This all-new holiday party is an adult-oriented festive event for guests to enjoy, including things like the Holiday Fiesta en la Calle in Commissary Lane. This is a street party with Latin holiday tunes, colorful décor, and plenty of food and drink inspired by Latin holiday traditions. That's just one option. Over at The Hollywood Brown Derby, Jazzy Holidays is the restaurant transformed into a smooth jazz club, playing holiday tunes in a room of festive glitzy decor. You can try craft cocktails or pick something from the party menu of light bites while enjoying the music and ambience of 1920s Hollywood at Christmas. Over at the Tower of Terror there's a Twilight Soirée at The Tip-Top Club in the courtyard of The Hollywood Tower Hotel. A live band will play holiday tunes in jukebox style as you enjoy a fancy cocktail.

And pretty much everywhere in Hollywood Studios, you'll find unique festive treats to eat and drink. And there's plenty of brand new Christmas festive Hollywood-style entertainment too. Disney is encouraging everyone to dress to the nines with their holiday best in old-style Hollywood flair.

It's Not Just All About Eating and Drinking: There's Entertainment Too!

Two brand new shows will be part of this brand new party. Disney Holidays in Hollywood takes place at Theater of the Stars and is a star-studded variety show in the grand tradition of old-style holiday specials. Special guests include Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Tiana, Belle, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. There will be singers, dancers, live jazz musicians and holiday vignettes.

The second show is quite different in the form of “What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along.” This one takes place in The Hyperion Theater where Jack Skellington takes party-goers on a different kind of Christmas holiday journey. Sing along to songs from the movie and see what surprises unfold.

More Fun That's Not a Show

Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and friends will have new outfits to match the party’s vintage vibe, and you can see it all at Mickey & Friends Holiday Greetings in Animation Courtyard.

Dance the Night Away to Festive Holiday Tunes

A DJ will play the merry mash-ups, featuring a mix of classic Christmas tunes mixed in with modern beats. While music at the park entrance set the tone for the party, Echo Lake will be the spot for holiday music and characters from classic Disney Channel favorites, including Powerline Max, Rescue Rangers Chip ‘n’ Dale and Phineas and Ferb.

You can also capture the holiday magic by grabbing your social media shot in front of a new neon sign before joining the dance party. All Disney PhotoPass photos from the party are included with the price of the ticket.

More photo opps include a Robotic Arm Magic Shot that will capture red carpet moments with a glamorous video and a Camera Array Magic shot – seven cameras that will shoot a boomerang-style photo of groups in front of a Disney Jollywood Nights backdrop.

And finally, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will once again present Sunset Seasons Greetings nightly throughout the season, as The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is magically transformed into an array of holiday scenes as snow falls along Sunset Boulevard.

There's a New Frozen Holiday Surprise at Magic Kingdom Park

Kicking off at Magic Kingdom Park on November 7, catch the new Frozen Holiday Surprise as Olaf and more than 100 of his Snowgie siblings decorate Cinderella Castle with festive touches. Appearing live on stage in new holiday looks, Anna, Elsa, Olaf and Kristoff each bring something special to the gathering. It all ends with Elsa adding the finishing touches that transform Cinderella Castle into a shimmering crystallized palace – which stays throughout the evening.

Fun Fact: there are more than 600 trees and 1,700 wreaths hung every year at Walt Disney World to celebrate the holidays.

What Would Christmas Be Without the Gingerbread at Disney Resort Hotels

Once again this year you enjoy the amazing gingerbread creations in six Disney Resort Hotels, including a new display at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. Look for displays at:

  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

  • Disney’s Beach Club Resort

  • Disney’s BoardWalk Resort

  • Disney’s Contemporary Resort

  • Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

  • Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

Disney Springs and the Christmas Tree Stroll

Starting November 10 at Disney Springs you can visit Santa Claus at Once Upon a Toy and enjoy the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll featuring 19 Disney-themed trees.

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Reopens November 6, 2023, but Typhoon Lagoon Closes on November 5, 2023

It's the change of seasons again, and at Walt Disney World that means water park tag, because they are no long able to operate two water parks at the same time.

A New Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass

Disney is launching a NEW Disney Water Park Seasonal Pass. This new pass will allow you to visit whichever Disney water park is open (note: their release says water parks -- plural -- but we all know that's not the case anymore) as often as you like until May 24, 2024. The cost is $79 plus tax. So, if you enjoy visiting a water park in the cooler winter months, then this may be something to consider.

The seasonal pass has no block out dates and no reservations are required. There is also free parking at Blizzard Beach.
